Rollors

The idea for Rollors was created by Air Force Officer, Matt Butler, while he was bravely and honorably serving The United States over in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Rollors is a game of skill but can also have an element of luck depending on what surface that it is played on. The game involves using numbered rolling discs (3 red, 3 blue) and two goal cones. An easy way to describe the rules is by imagining a combination of bocce ball, bowling, and horseshoes but with a couple of unique characteristics to add even more entertainment.
After placing the goal cones 25ft apart from each other, the goal of Rollors is to roll the discs and get them to stop as close as possible to the goal cone on the opposite side. A measuring device that is attached to the top of the goal cones can be used to measure the closest disc. Points can be scored depending on what side the closest disc has landed on. Many games involving skill, like cornhole for instance, can involve players with a wide variety of skill levels. Those who are very skillful in a certain game and dominate against players who are new to a game or do not play very often can cause boredom and disinterest. With Rollors, if there is a large difference in skill levels between players, the solution is to simply play on a surface that involves luck to become a factor. Playing on yards with smooth flat grass compared to playing on yards with holes and bumps can become a totally different experience.
